Daniel Medeiros Almeida, MD

Dr. Almeida is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist specializing in youth life transitions. His primary clinical focus is anxiety disorders, depression, and ADHD. Dr. Almeida is committed to providing the best evidence-based psychopharmacology in coordination with a more comprehensive treatment plan that includes families, schools, therapists, and community support. Dr. Almeida completed his residency training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (former University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) and his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Dr. Almeida previously worked at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for seven years, providing inpatient and outpatient care while serving as co-Medical Director of Adolescent Inpatient Services. At Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Dr. Almeida maintained his education role as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry – affiliate with the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Almeida served as a preceptor for medical students and residents and a psychotherapy supervisor for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training program.
